The successful candidate will lead architecture reviews, implement template-driven configuration, and ensure safe deployment with dry runs, diffs, approvals, and rollbacks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years combined software engineering and network engineering/automation experience with production ownership.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• "Strong Python"—building and maintaining services, not just scripts.
• Experience with multi-vendor device automation using NETCONF, vendor APIs, or structured CLI.
• Familiarity with Ansible, NAPALM, Netmiko, Nornir, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD.
• Ability to assess and control blast radius in automation deployments.

Responsabilités

• Analyze requirements and translate into explicit, testable specifications for network automation.
• Lead architectural reviews for automation services, device drivers, and data models.
• Design templates and rendering strategies for scalable, cross-site changes.
• Develop and maintain Python-based services and integrations with REST APIs and databases.
• Build multi-vendor device automation using NETCONF, SSH/CLI, and vendor APIs.
• Develop unit and integration tests; ensure code reflects test evidence and lab validation.
• Define deployment pipelines, migrations, and rollback plans; maintain QA processes.
• Provide technical leadership and performance tuning for large-scale device automation.
