Job summary

Insight Global in California is seeking an Applications Developer/Analyst to support city business applications, including maintenance, upgrades, and development of apps, reports, and interfaces.

Candidates should have a college degree in CS or CE and at least three years of hands-on SQL, C#, .NET, Linux, and reporting tool experience (Power BI/Crystal/Cognos). They should be comfortable with Docker/ Podman, Java, CI/CD, and multi-tasking in a multi-platform environment.

Qualifications

• College degree preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• At least three years hands-on SQL coding experience.
• At least three years as an applications developer with C#, .NET.
• At least three years Linux experience.
• Two+ years developing reports with Power BI, Crystal Reports or Cognos.
• Two+ years using container platforms such as Docker/Podman.
• Two+ years Java development, CI/CD and containerization.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, organization and planning skills.
• Knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task and provide off-hours production support.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills and documentation.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to multi-platform environments.

Responsibilities

• Support city business applications including upgrades and maintenance.
• Develop apps, reports and interfaces and perform testing.
• Provide user support and issue resolution for production systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams across multiple platforms to resolve incidents.
