Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer (SEG3) to support a large Navy contract. You will work with a 200-person team under the Program and Deputy Program Manager, contributing to software design, integration, and performance improvements.

The role requires an active Secret Clearance eligibility and deep experience in software engineering, systems engineering methods, and risk management. Washington Navy Yard location with on-site work often.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
• 10 years of experience in software engineering
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Knowledge of Navy/DOD policy and guidance
• System Engineering Technical Reviews
• Technology readiness and technical performance measures
• Combat Systems Integration and requirements decomposition
• Model Based Systems Engineering
• Program Protection
• Risk Management Process
• Occasional travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
• Collaborate with project management, logistics, security, and other disciplines to integrate hardware and software systems and define specifications.
