Job summary

Alpha Omega Integration in Vienna, VA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a suite of Microsoft-based applications on a hybrid schedule. You will work on Classic ASP, ASP.NET Web Forms, and a Windows-based .NET document-processing system within a regulated financial-services context.

The role emphasizes Tier 3 production support, secure incremental modernization, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to deliver durable, well-documented solutions.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Six or more years of professional software development or application-support experience in an enterprise Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 support for mission-critical applications. Triage incidents, diagnose root causes across code, databases, integrations, and infrastructure, and deliver durable fixes.
• Maintain and enhance legacy Microsoft applications, including Classic ASP/VBScript and ASP.NET Web Forms on .NET Framework using VB.NET and C#.
• Support Windows-based background processing and document workflows, including file handling, conversion, status tracking, and exception recovery.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data-access code; investigate performance and data-integrity issues.
• Support IIS-hosted applications and Windows environments, including configuration, deployments, and environment-specific troubleshooting.
• Build and support secure integrations with enterprise APIs and services, applying least-privilege access and safe credential handling.
