Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced or lead Software Engineer - Developer to join the Space Mission Systems team. The role focuses on Mission Management and Middleware, with on-site work in Chantilly, VA or Seal Beach, CA.

You will contribute to the full software lifecycle, including CI/CD, containerization and middleware tuning, supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment with a Top Secret/SCI clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher.
• Experience with message-oriented Middleware (ActiveMQ, Redis, Kafka).
• Experience administering and troubleshooting java application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss).

Responsibilities

• Leads software development planning with design, coding and testing.
• Translates requirements into software specs with traceability.
• Reviews software system analyses to identify risks and issues.
• Leads code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
• Monitors test completion and resolves software issues.
• Installs, configures, and patches middleware platforms (on-prem/cloud).
