Job summary

The Boeing Company in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer - Developer to join the Space Mission Systems team in Chantilly, VA or Seal Beach, CA. You will work on Mission Management and Middleware, implementing, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting middleware platforms that enable API delivery, messaging, and identity/access flows.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and experience with ActiveMQ, Redis, Kafka, CI/CD tools, and containerization.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Experience with message-oriented middleware (ActiveMQ, Redis, Kafka).
Experience administering and troubleshooting Java application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss).

Responsibilities

Leads planning of software development tasks with design, coding, and testing of features.
Translates system requirements into software requirements and models with traceability.
Reviews software analyses to identify risk and lead mitigation actions.
Leads code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements and standards.
Monitors test completion, verification processes and issue resolution for software systems.
Reviews product and process alignment with project plans and standards.
Install, configure, administer, and patch middleware platforms (on-prem and cloud).
Diagnose end-to-end integration issues across apps, middleware, and networks.
