Job summary

The State Bar of California is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to lead the design and development of high‑complexity components in a Microsoft‑centric ecosystem. You will refine CI/CD pipelines, improve automated testing, and strengthen monitoring while modernizing legacy systems across the organization.

Based in Los Angeles or San Francisco, the role offers hybrid work with up to four remote days per week and a salary range of $104,308–$139,079.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience leading design and development in a Microsoft‑centric ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Tyler Odyssey case management is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high‑complexity components within the Microsoft stack.
• Refine CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and improve automated testing.
• Strengthen monitoring and alerting frameworks; modernize legacy systems.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and supervise contractors/vendors.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery.
