Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is building the data infrastructure for modern analytics, powering the metadata layer of the platform. We seek a senior software engineer to own and improve the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services used by thousands of organizations.

You will design, implement, and optimize backend features in a distributed cloud environment, collaborating with product, QE, and support teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with backend experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud concepts.
• Proven ability to write well-structured, performant, and tested code.
• Ability to lead feature-level software and design work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features across Metadata services (discovery API, catalog, lineage, run history).
• Develop, test, and optimize code for performance.
• Write designs and explain trade-offs; participate in code reviews.
• Improve test coverage and reduce tech debt.
• Troubleshoot production issues and follow up with post-mortems.
