Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of mainframe experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure.
- COBOL coding experience.
- Experience with CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
- Agile experience.
Responsibilities
- Code software applications that align with business requirements, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Standardize QA procedures for software, overseeing testing and debugging while developing fixes.
- Research complaints and make adjustments or recommendations to resolve complex software-related issues.
- Begin to influence department strategy and make decisions on technical approaches for project components, working independently with latitude.
- Work closely with business leaders to develop innovative solutions that enhance functionality, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
- Design and review software solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring a smooth transition to the development team.
- Conduct quality reviews of software and actively work to improve deliverable quality.
