Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Creator Service Translation team to design and build scalable backend systems, expand language support, and improve real‑time localization for a global gaming platform.

Based at our San Mateo headquarters, you will tackle full‑stack challenges spanning client, engine, backend, and ML models, collaborating with product and design to deliver high‑quality translations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and leading scalable distributed backend systems.
• Proficient in C#, C++, Go, Python or similar languages; deep knowledge of C++ is a plus.
• Curious and passionate about industry trends and applying new technologies to practical problems.

Responsibilities

• Tackle and solve challenging full‑stack problems touching client, game engine, backend services and ML models.
• Own product areas and projects from technical design, execution, launch, and iteration based on feedback.
• Work closely with product, design, and partner teams to maintain high execution quality and pace.
• Proactively gather community feedback and respond swiftly to needs, ensuring products evolve to deliver exceptional value.
