Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Creator Service Translation team. You will design and build highly scalable localization systems to help creators deliver experiences that feel native across languages and platforms.

You will expand language support, enable real-time translation, and improve translation quality. You will own product areas from technical design through launch, collaborating with product, design, and partner teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience and led implementation on highly scalable distributed backend systems.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (C#, C++, Go, Python or similar). Deep understanding of C++ is a plus; familiarity with game engine is a plus; familiarity with machine learning is a plus.
• Curious and passionate about industry trends and new technologies; able to apply them to practical problems.
• Strong teamwork; able to drive cross-functional projects and deliver the most curated technical solution.
• Long-term mindset; design choices remain optimal years into the future.

Responsibilities

• Tackle and solve challenging full-stack problems touching client, game engine, backend services and ML models.
• Own product areas and projects from technical design, execution, and launch to iteration based on feedback.
• Work closely with product, design, and partner teams to maintain high execution quality and pace.
• Proactively gather community feedback and respond to needs, ensuring products evolve to deliver value.
