Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to join our team onsite at a leading customer facility. You will develop production-quality C++ software for localization, positioning, and navigation, integrating GNSS, IMU, perception, and filtering to determine accurate vehicle position.

You will design state estimation algorithms and prototype localization solutions for autonomous machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong C++ and Python skills; experience with state estimation and inertial measurement tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-quality C++ software for localization, positioning, and navigation systems.
• Design and implement state estimation algorithms using GNSS, inertial sensors, perception systems, and filtering techniques.
• Research, prototype, and deploy localization solutions for autonomous and semi-autonomous machines.
• Participate in software design, architecture, validation, testing, and product quality activities.
• Support functional safety design and software validation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance localization technology and mentor junior engineers.
