PayPal, Inc. seeks a Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX to own end-to-end software delivery across scalable systems. You will lead by example, elevating design, implementation, and engineering practices within the team.

Utilize Java, Go, Python, and other languages to build scalable systems, write unit-tested code, and maintain project documentation. Partial telecommuting is allowed in a balanced hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Git, GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Harness CI/CD.
• Cloud experience in AWS or GCP.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, Go, or Bash.
• Unix/Linux administration and Datadog monitoring.
• Knowledge of SonarQube and code quality tooling.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all SDLC phases from ideation to deployment.
• Lead by example to improve design and engineering practices across the team.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and CI/CD pipelines.
