Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union in Raleigh (Creedmoor Rd) seeks a Software Engineer III to join our Operations team. You will lead design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

Collaborating with business and IT leaders, you will ensure code quality, perform reviews, and stay aligned with Agile practices. On-site presence with on-call support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, CS or information systems.
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Python, JSON, XML, HTML5, REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex projects.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to improve code quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and IT leaders.
• Perform code reviews and ensure maintainability and testing standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems and perform root-cause analysis.
