Job summary

US Tech Solutions in Austin, Texas, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of custom test systems for prime aerospace and defense customers. You will build instrument drivers, test sequences, and applications using LabVIEW and TestStand, collaborating with Systems Architects and Electrical Engineering to ensure testability and successful deployment.

You will interact with clients, sales, partners, and contract manufacturers to tailor Client products to requirements, while traveling

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in CS/CE/EE from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience with LabVIEW/TestStand.
• Experience with PXI chassis and test hardware (DMMs, scopes, RF sensors).
• Knowledge of GPIB, USB, Ethernet and serial interfaces.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, TestStand, Python and C/C++/C#.
• Strong problem‑solving and self‑starter mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrument drivers, test sequences, and applications using LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Interface with Systems Architects and EE teams to enable testability.
• Provide handoff and support of software test apps to customer teams.
• Document necessary artifacts for customers.
• Interact with customers, staff, alliance partners, and suppliers to design and sustain solutions.
• Define and implement system test plans, milestones and reviews.
• Verify tests to ensure coverage of requirements.
• Travel domestically and abroad as needed.
