Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join the ADG Customer Centric Solutions Team, focusing on custom test systems and instrument drivers using LabVIEW and TestStand. You will collaborate with customers, sales, and engineering to deliver tailored turnkey solutions and hand off software to customer teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years with LabVIEW/TestStand, and strong knowledge of hardware interfaces.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
5+ years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW/TestStand.
Experience developing automated test software using PXI chassis and interfacing with analog I/O, digital I/O, DMMs, scopes and RF sensors.
Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and serial protocols.
Familiarity with LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, C#, Python.

Responsibilities

Interact with NI customers, staff, external partners and suppliers to design, implement and sustain custom solutions.
Define and implement system test plans, milestones and reviews to ensure readiness for deployment.
Verify developed tests for compliance with requirements and coverage.
Travel domestically and abroad as needed to support projects.
