Job summary

Advantage Technical seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a cross-functional team designing custom automated test systems for aerospace, defense and government clients. The role emphasizes LabVIEW and TestStand, with software development, test engineering and system-level design.

The candidate will work with customers and partners to deploy turnkey test solutions, travel as needed, and support ITAR-controlled projects in an on-site Austin environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent experience developing test software with LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with PXI and test hardware such as DMMs, oscilloscopes and RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrument drivers, automated test sequences, and test applications using LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Design and implement system test plans, manage milestones and verify coverage against requirements.
• Collaborate with Systems Architects to provide system-level design guidance and optimize testability.
• Work with customers and partners to deploy, document, and sustain custom test solutions.
• Provide software handoff and technical support, including documentation and travel as needed.
