Job summary

American Express is seeking a Senior Engineer in Boise to architect, code and ship software as part of an agile team.

You will work with engineers to craft API solutions, drive CI/CD and automation, and deliver technology that powers major customer experiences. A BS/MS in a technical field and 3+ years of software development are expected, with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience with strong coding skills.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience interpreting technical and business goals and designing solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate with SMEs and partners to deliver technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with large data systems across one or more languages and tools.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, algorithms, and design patterns; proficient in Java/Scala.
• Experience with API design, RESTful services, and automation/CI-CD.
