Job summary
Erias Ventures is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems and simulations. You will contribute to the design of software components, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure robust performance in test and development environments.
The ideal candidate has extensive Java backend experience, strong React UI skills, and hands-on experience with containers and microservices.
Qualifications
- Strong Java development skills for backend services.
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React, for building rich, responsive UIs.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Podman and/or Docker).
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Practical experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
- Data and processing paradigms: ML, streaming pipelines, and/or batch processing.
- Data stores: MongoDB, ArangoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
- Build and conduct simulations in test and development environments.
- Contribute to system design decisions including hardware/software trade-offs and use of COTS/GOTS.
