Acuity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own services end-to-end for an IoT cloud platform connecting refrigeration systems. You will influence architecture, tackle large-scale telemetry, and collaborate across frontend, backend, and DevOps teams in a Linux environment.

The role emphasizes robust, scalable software with secure APIs and efficient data pipelines, impacting field equipment monitoring and optimization.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in web development technologies.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments with Bash, file permissions, processes and services.
• Experience with debugging, log analysis, and remote system administration.
• Proficient in frontend and backend development with modern web tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and web apps.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex software, networking, and system issues.
• Write clean, well-documented code and establish best practices.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using modern frameworks.
• Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and session management.
