Acuity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own services end-to-end for an IoT cloud platform connecting refrigeration systems. You will influence architecture, tackle large-scale telemetry, and collaborate across frontend, backend, and DevOps teams in a Linux environment.
The role emphasizes robust, scalable software with secure APIs and efficient data pipelines, impacting field equipment monitoring and optimization.
Join a team building the software platform that connects commercial refrigeration systems in the field to the cloud. Our engineers solve complex problems across IoT, device networking, edge connectivity, distributed systems, cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, and web applications—with software that directly operates at the intersection of physical equipment and digital systems.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll own services and capabilities end to end, shape architecture and technical direction, and solve challenging problems involving thousands of connected devices, unreliable field networks, high-volume telemetry, scalability, security, and system reliability. You’ll work across the technology stack, lead technical design discussions, and help build systems that are robust in the field and scalable in the cloud. This is an opportunity to have meaningful technical ownership while working on a real-world IoT platform where software decisions directly impact how commercial refrigeration systems are monitored, managed, and optimized.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science; A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
