Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Network / Infrastructure Automation to design, build, and maintain backend services, platform tooling, APIs, and automation frameworks that support scalable infrastructure across a large global environment.

This role favors a core software engineer with strong Python development experience, hands-on Kubernetes exposure, and the ability to work across infrastructure-adjacent systems.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with backend services and automation tooling.
• Strong Python development skills or equivalent backend language.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience with deployments, services, and observability.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, code review, and testing practices.
• Experience building automation for infrastructure and internal tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot across software, Kubernetes, and platform systems.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals relevant to automation and platform ops.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and automation platforms.
• Develop production-quality code with a focus on reliability and observability.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for controlled deployments.
• Build internal self-service tooling interfacing with infrastructure capabilities.
• Collaborate across platform, security, infrastructure, and network teams.
• Support telemetry, monitoring, and incident response to improve reliability.
