Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a software engineer to build, test, and deploy software in a highly collaborative environment.

You will create technical specs, rollout plans, and coordinate with internal customers to solve problems while mentoring teammates and shaping the engineering roadmap at Pilot.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Production Python experience.
• Terraform and AWS experience.
• Familiar with frontend ecosystem and frontend tooling.

• Create and contribute to technical specs and testing/rollout plans
• Work with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure solving the right problems
• Mentor and sponsor teammates to help them grow

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience with Python in production
• Experience with common infrastructure tooling such as Terraform and AWS
• Familiarity with the frontend ecosystem and frontend infrastructure tools
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions
• Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills
• Ability to write well-structured, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and teach others
