Pilot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Takeoff team to own projects end-to-end—from design through rollout—on our core accounting systems. You will work with engineers, PMs, designers, and accounting experts to deliver changes that are safe, well-tested, and easy to reason about.

We value strong coding fundamentals, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring teammates. This remote US role focuses on reliable delivery and high engineering standards across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong coding fundamentals and well-tested code.
• Good product and systems judgment, especially in evolving problems.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy software in a continuous manner (daily or more).
• Collaborate with PMs and designers; participate in product reviews.
• Create technical specs and rollout/testing plans.
