Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Tampa, FL invites a Software Engineer III to join the Payments Technology Group. You will be a seasoned member of an agile team designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will work across multiple technical areas to support the firm’s objectives, contribute to architecture, data handling, and production code, and help advance coding hygiene, security, and operational stability.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of experience.
Experience with mainframe stack (COBOL, DB2, JCL) and Java Spring Boot with REST services.
System design, development, testing, and operational stability experience.
Proficient in one or more programming languages and SDLC knowledge.
Strong grasp of agile practices including CI/CD, resilience, and security.

Responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and debugging with non-routine problem solving.
Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with related systems.
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring constraints are met.
Analyzes large, diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems.
Identifies hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system design.
Contributes to engineering communities and promotes diversity and inclusion.
