Job summary

First American (India) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver web-based applications, translating client needs into actionable system requirements and scalable features.

You will work with .NET and/or Python, AWS, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, microservices, and modern UI stacks in a collaborative Agile environment to improve performance, reliability, scalability, security, and user experience across the product portfolio. Participate in code reviews and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building web-based applications with .NET and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code).
• Solid knowledge of ASP.NET/MVC and Git.
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Jira in Agile environments; knowledge of TypeScript/React is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver web-based applications following coding standards and best practices.
• Lead end-to-end ownership of modules, design features using approved tech stack.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance.
• Review peers' code for quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Design and optimize database objects and perform performance tuning.
• Maintain CM practices and ensure QA standards across delivery.
