Job summary

Blink Health is seeking a senior software engineer (L6) to set technical direction across multiple teams while remaining hands-on. You will own architecture decisions, tackle high-stakes problems, and drive delivery with a focus on business impact.

You will work closely with founders and executives, raise the technical bar, mentor senior engineers, and introduce new tools and techniques while ensuring high quality. This is a leadership-heavy, hands-on engineering role at BlinkRx/L6 level.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with increasing scope and impact.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and modern development workflows.
• Technical lead for a system or product area relied upon by multiple teams.
• Experience collaborating directly with founders or executives.
• Focus on business outcomes and real-world impact, not just elegant code.
• Strong background in distributed systems, API design, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across teams.
• Clear, credible communication with business and product leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the backend and frontend architecture behind our systems
• Take ambiguous, high-risk problems off the table and get them to a clear answer
• Run design and code reviews
• Own major features from first design through testing, documentation, monitoring, and launch
• Work directly with founders and executives to shape strategy and then build against it
• Coach engineers and help shape how the team works
• Bring in new tools and techniques, prototype fast, and let data settle debates
• Explain technical trade-offs clearly to anyone in the room, engineer or not
