Job summary

IBM is seeking a core member of the Product Security Access Management team to design and implement robust access controls, RBAC, ABAC, and scalable policies. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture while delivering a seamless customer experience.

The role emphasizes production-grade code, cross-functional teamwork, and driving security-focused initiatives across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant software, product and/or security engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the Cloud.
• Solid understanding of basic systems operations (disk, network, operating systems, etc)
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go or other statically typed languages.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive execution of projects and deploy them to production with a focus on quality and customer impact.
• Collaborate effectively with a high performing team and cross-functional partners and make decisions which benefit the team and company.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and improve operations for complex problems that span all clouds.
• Produce clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to established team standards and security best practices.
• Deliver value for customers by taking on their most challenging problems.
