Job summary

IBM Software in San Diego seeks a core member of the Product Security Access Management team to design and implement robust access management for users and service accounts, with scalable RBAC, ABAC and policy-based controls across the organization.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to deliver frictionless yet secure access solutions, write maintainable code, and drive production deployments that strengthen IBM's security posture and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant software, product and/or security engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the Cloud.
• Solid understanding of basic systems operations (disk, network, operating systems, etc)
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go or other statically typed languages.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive execution of projects and deploy them to production with a focus on quality and customer impact.
• Collaborate effectively with a high performing team and cross-functional partners and make decisions which benefit the team and company.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and improve operations for complex problems that span all clouds.
• Produce clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to established team standards and security best practices.
• Deliver value for customers by taking on their most challenging problems.
