Job summary

Drata is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to help lead platform development, shaping architecture for scalable APIs powering web apps. You will work closely with management to design systems, maintain production operations, and coordinate across engineering initiatives in a distributed architecture.

You’ll build AI-powered features, RESTful APIs, real-time streaming UI patterns, and tools to extend platform capabilities while collaborating with product managers and AI engineers in an agile

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with backend and frontend exposure.
• 3+ years of NodeJS, plus NestJS experience preferred.
• Strong React skills and experience building APIs.
• Proficiency with TypeORM, MySQL, Git, and REST principles.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop highly scalable web applications, including AI-powered features.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with LLM services and AI capabilities.
• Design streaming real-time UI patterns for AI applications.
• Develop tools and automation to extend platform capabilities.
• Manage ingestion, analytics, and storage infrastructure operations.
• Collaborate with product managers and AI engineers in agile refinement.
• Contribute to server-side code and database architecture in NodeJS.
