Job summary

Rocket is a Detroit-based company that provides simple, fast and trusted digital solutions for complex transactions. The role focuses on solving difficult software problems, releasing and validating software, mentoring teammates, and improving engineering practices within the team.

You will work with C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular, and AWS, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and demonstrate thought leadership across squads to drive quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Expertise solving problems by developing software solutions that require innovation.
• Expertise with the programming languages, frameworks and platforms used by the team, such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular or AWS.
• Experience developing software modules or patterns used across multiple teams.
• Expertise designing integration tests, leading software releases, and providing ongoing support.
• Experience helping facilitate and create Agile software development practices and artifacts, such as user stories, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
• Experience mentoring and developing others.
• Experience providing thought leadership to influence software development practices.

• Experience designing or refining continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)

• Agile certification

On-Call Expectations

This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.
