General Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer I is responsible for developing high-quality, innovative, fully performing software in compliance with coding standards. This individual collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software including design, code, and testing, aligned with industry and organizational standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides support to the Engineering teams, with a high attention to detail
2. Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
3. May influence others within the Software Engineering team through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices
4. Designs, builds, and maintains large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems
5. Works on systems critical to the company’s current and future operations
6. Debugs production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
7. Assists with improvement of organizational engineering standards, tooling, and processes
8. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software
9. Evaluates codes to ensure validity, proper structure, alignment with industry standards, and compatibility with operating systems
10. Maintains an understanding of current technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, and/or groups

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

1. Ability to work independently on projects and processes with general supervision
2. Practical knowledge of applicable work area
3. Ability to adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirements
4. Knowledge of various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field
5. Ability to work constructively and independently under stress and pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills for positive interaction with colleagues and external contacts
7. Advanced knowledge of programming languages and software basics: .Net, C#, SQL, AWS
8. Nice to have: GO, Python, Agile
9. Knowledge of relevant software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience
2. 3+ years of relevant experience

Working Conditions:

1. Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
2. 0-10% travel may be required
