Ascend Learning seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Leawood, KS team on a hybrid schedule. You will contribute to enterprise applications using .NET, Angular, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services to deliver scalable healthcare education solutions.

You will collaborate with product owners, mentor teammates, perform code reviews, and participate in deployments and on-call rotations. The role requires 6+ years of web software development and strong cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in software development for web-based applications.
• Experience in .NET, C#, SQL, and MVC.
• Experience with Angular 12+, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Git-based platforms (e.g. GitLab) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and develop functionality within the Enterprise Applications team using modern tech stack.
• Collaborate with diverse team of developers and Product Owners to deliver impactful projects.
• Work independently and with stakeholders across locations and teams.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality software.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.
• Assist with design and architecture of projects and features.
• Execute deployments in production and non-production environments and support on-call rotations.
