Job summary

TogetherWork is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Austin to design, build, and support high-quality SaaS applications across front-end and back-end stacks. You will own features from design through production, mentor junior developers, and help drive architecture decisions in a cloud-first environment on AWS.

The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, secure coding, CI/CD, testing, and collaboration with Product teams, Infrastructure, and SRE to ensure reliability and scalable solutions for

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID, design patterns, and clean code.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs; GraphQL and microservices a plus.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; effective communication.
• Ability to own deliverables from development through production.
• Proven experience using AI tooling daily for AI-native development.
• Polyglot programming across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Experience with PHP, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Experience with AWS and containerized applications; CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support features across SaaS applications.
• Build reusable, accessible, secure, scalable front-end and back-end components.
• Write clean, testable code following best practices.
• Lead feature design and consider long-term impacts and production readiness.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine requirements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers; participate in code reviews.
