Position: Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid)

Location: New York City

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in C# and .NET, deep expertise in PostgreSQL, and a strong background in cloud technologies (AWS or Azure). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and exposure to FIX protocol (preferred but not mandatory). This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing distributed systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET.
• Optimize and manage PostgreSQL databases, including writing complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Work with Azure DevOps to set up CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and maintain cloud-based solutions in AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Work with FIX protocol-based integrations (if applicable).

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development with C# and .NET.
• Strong expertise in SQL, especially PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, automated builds, and deployments.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar technologies.
• Experience with FIX protocol or experience with financial/trading systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch.
• Exposure to distributed tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry, AWS X-Ray).

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 based on experience. Bonus Eligible.
