Motional is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to scale and automate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) infrastructure for offboard testing of autonomous vehicle software.

You will automate bench health, release management, and data-driven optimizations while collaborating with operations and cross-functional teams to keep critical pipelines running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux experience.
• 5+ years of Python development.
• 5+ years working with Git and CI/CD.
• 2+ years interfacing with databases such as SQL, Postgres, or Trino.
• 2+ years of C++ development.
• 2+ years working with hardware, sensors, and low voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with Vehicle CAN and Python automation interfacing.
• Electrical familiarity for HIL bench connections and setup.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in cross-functional development teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics with Software option.

Base salary $149,000–$198,500 USD. Additional forms of compensation may include bonus or company equity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, health savings accounts, life insurance, and pet insurance.
