Job summary

DraftKings is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the technology powering DraftKings Exchange in Boston. You’ll design, build, and maintain backend services for a high-performance, low-latency trading platform, collaborating across Product, Data, Trading Ops, and Engineering teams.

You’ll influence architecture, set engineering standards, and solve complex production challenges, with a focus on scalability, observability, and reliability in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET.
• Experience building distributed, scalable, high-throughput systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering the exchange.
• Develop distributed, low-latency transaction processing systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Trading Ops, and Engineering teams to deliver new features.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and system reliability.
• Establish engineering best practices through code reviews and mentoring.
