Job summary

Philips in San Diego seeks a Senior Software Engineer for AM&D ECG Solutions, part of the Ambulatory Monitoring and Diagnostics Heart, R&D. You will contribute to cross-functional Scrum teams building robust, scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular in a cloud-native environment.

The role emphasizes API design with GraphQL, microservices on AWS (EKS, RDS), and adherence to IEC 62304 for medical device software. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, full-stack focus.
• Strong Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript with Angular UI experience.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Proficiency with GraphQL and RabbitMQ; CI/CD, containerization, and IaC.
• Familiar with regulated environments; medical device software and HIPAA knowledge a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE; Master’s a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Build secure APIs with GraphQL and integrate RabbitMQ; implement microservices on AWS (EKS, RDS).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy features.
• Ensure high-quality code with testing, reviews, and CI/CD; document software per IEC 62304; stay current with tech.
• Travel up to 10%.
