Job summary

Kontakt.io is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in New York to build and own the systems that orchestrate hospital operations. You’ll work across the stack from data models to user-facing tools, shipping container-based applications and contributing to an event-sourced architecture with Kafka.

You will design APIs, craft front-end UIs (Angular), and own features end-to-end in a small, high-ownership team. The role offers hybrid work with 3 days in the NYC office, equity, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend experience (Java/Kotlin, Python).
• 2+ years building UIs for frontend applications (Angular).
• Experience with both OOP and functional programming.
• 2+ years developing and deploying container-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and build APIs that are simple to use, fast to respond, and scalable
• Build and design UIs for frontend applications
• Develop and deploy container-based applications
• Contribute to event-sourced architecture (Kafka and similar tooling)
• Build new products from the ground up as part of a small, high-ownership team
