ELLKAY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance our core healthcare IT systems by building scalable, secure software solutions. You will work with engineering leaders to architect backend systems, guide technical direction, and improve software delivery processes.

The role emphasizes leadership across multiple teams, API-driven architectures, and a focus on reliability and performance within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems.
Experience designing and scaling API-driven systems with extreme reliability and throughput requirements.
Strong background with observability, distributed tracing, metrics, and log aggregation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to build and scale national-scale healthcare data exchange systems.
Architect and implement scalable, API-driven systems for healthcare data exchange at scale.
Guide CI/CD improvements to maintain quality while accelerating delivery.
Mentor engineers through pairing, design reviews, and code reviews.
