Job summary

Heartflow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the architecture for a next-generation, distributed system that securely integrates hospital EHR data with Heartflow cloud services. You will own significant components in the interoperability domain, mentor junior engineers, and influence architectural decisions while ensuring quality and compliance with FDA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with SaMD and regulatory environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build EHR integration bridging on-premise EHR systems to AWS cloud.
• Contribute to the single platform vision through data modeling and persistence strategies.
• Own mission-critical data acquisition and ingestion pipelines for hospital networks.
• Build enterprise-grade APIs using REST, FHIR, HL7 for secure cloud connections.
• Support compliance and security per FDA and regulatory guidance.
• Collaborate with and mentor engineers, contributing to system design discussions.
