Shield AI seeks a Hardware Test Engineer to develop Python software that automates hardware testing and integrates test results with manufacturing software. You will scale test automation across multiple test stands and manage databases for logging test results, helping deliver high-reliability aerospace hardware.

The role requires strong Python software development, Linux experience, and collaboration with hardware, systems, and QA teams to integrate software into aircraft validation workflows.

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
Advanced skillset for developing software in Python.
Experience with Linux including Bash scripting and networking.
Ability to configure and maintain small computer networks.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop Python software drivers and interfaces for hardware systems.
Create automated test frameworks to validate aircraft components and subsystems.
Develop and evolve CI/CD pipelines for test stand software.
Build scalable test infrastructure and shared libraries for multiple programs.
