Job summary

Shield AI Inc is seeking a Senior Architecture and Infrastructure Test Engineer to own the design and development of advanced test systems for X-BAT hardware. You will engineer PCBs and interfaces for power electronics, RF, and communications, and develop automated test sequences in Python to ensure repeatable, scalable validation.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive design-for-testability improvements, and work hands-on with lab testing including HALT in harsh environments, supporting

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• 3+ years in hardware design and test engineering or equivalent with advanced degrees.
• Deep expertise in electrical design, mechanical and software engineering for hardware test systems.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and validate multidisciplinary hardware systems in fast-paced environments.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive projects from concept to execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and deploy advanced test systems for X-BAT components and subsystems.
• Architect PCBs and interfaces for power electronics, RF, and communications.
• Develop automated test sequences in Python for scalable testing.
• Design and integrate custom test fixtures and harnessing.
• Lead design reviews and advocate for testability improvements.
• Work hands-on with HASS, ESS, and HALT testing in simulated harsh environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hardware test engineering expertise.
