EVONA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Westminster, Colorado team focused on ground software for satellite missions. You will own key software development activities across command and control, telemetry processing, and mission operations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, production-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong professional software engineering experience in mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java with production-quality software.
• Experience with Linux-based systems.
• Knowledge of software architecture, debugging, integration testing and best practices.
• Experience with backend development, networking, distributed systems or automated software infrastructure.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborative across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with satellite ground software or mission operations tools.
• Background in aerospace, defence, robotics, or safety-critical industries.
• Experience with real-time telemetry, data processing or visualization systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols, ground station integration, or spacecraft communications.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, or DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ground software for spacecraft command and control and telemetry processing.
• Develop scalable applications using Python, C++ and other languages.
• Enhance real-time telemetry processing, data management and visualization.
• Support integration of ground station infrastructure and spacecraft interfaces.
• Develop automated monitoring, testing and operational tools.
• Collaborate with flight software, systems engineering and hardware teams.
• Troubleshoot software issues and optimize system performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and documentation.
