Job description

NVIDIA is seeking an exceptional Senior System Software Engineer to join our GPU System Software team. This team is responsible for developing comprehensive system software solutions from concept to production. In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of GPU feature development, including proof of concept, design, architecture, algorithm implementation, and pre/post-SI optimization. Your primary focus will be on display features utilizing hardware and software architectures to deliver industry-leading, energy-efficient consumer products.

What you will be doing:
  1. Define, POC, design, and develop display features based on VESA Display Port standards like DP 2.1, HDMI, and eDP.
  2. Drive and resolve complex optimization strategies independently across multiple teams and disciplines.
  3. Influence next-generation GPU/SoC and platform architecture by creating internal architecture and design specifications.
  4. Collaborate effectively with local and remote teams, including OEM/ODM partners.
What we need to see:
  1. 10+ years of industry experience in system software or related fields.
  2. B.S. or higher degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields.
  3. Strong programming skills in C, with a solid background in OS internals, device drivers, real-time embedded systems, algorithms, and data structures.
  4. In-depth knowledge of display pipeline fundamentals such as VESA, HDMI, DP, eDP, PSR, and FreeSync.
  5. Ability to work closely with hardware designers and driver engineers to create new features and solutions.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  1. Experience in architecture and design in SoC/GPU display, power management, and optimization.
  2. Prior experience with display technologies like VESA DP, eDP, HDMI, and system/hardware/software optimization.
  3. Experience with system software, OS internals, kernel modules, and device drivers.

We are considered one of the most desirable employers in the tech industry, with forward-thinking and hardworking people. If you're passionate, creative, and driven, we'd love to have you join us. We offer competitive salaries, a generous benefits package, and a rapidly growing engineering team. We welcome creative and autonomous engineers with a passion for technology.

The base salary range is $184,000 - $356,500, determined by location, experience, and comparable roles. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA is committed to diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity in our current and future employees.
