Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is expanding its India Development Centre and seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Identity and Growth teams, building and operating global-scale services across cloud-native platforms.

You will design high-performance, scalable systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate with remote peers while upholding security and data-driven KPIs. The role requires 5–8 years of Java experience, cloud, Kubernetes, and a passion for engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5–8 years of software development experience.
• Strong Java (8+) proficiency and cloud-native microservices experience.
• Experience with global-scale platforms and Kubernetes-based architectures.
• Familiarity with REST/gRPC, databases and caching systems.
• Ability to work with remote peers across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, scalable systems deployed in production.
• Champion engineering and operational excellence with best practices.
• Lead major functional changes and investigate production issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence technical decisions.
• Document designs, code and processes for clarity.
