Job summary

Amazon's AWS Global Accelerator team is seeking experienced full‑stack software development engineers to build features for a globally distributed service. You will own design decisions, engage with other AWS service owners, and deliver new capabilities to customers at scale.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure security, availability, and performance. The role involves hands‑on coding, reviews, and mentoring engineers, while growing a global system used in 29 AWS regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non‑internship software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years in design/architecture of new or existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Define, scope, design, develop and ship features for AWS Global Accelerator.
• Make critical design decisions affecting multiple AWS services.
• Design and architect new systems or infrastructure, owning technical direction.
• Mentor and guide team members, conduct design reviews, raise the engineering bar.
• Drive strategic initiatives to improve security posture and availability at scale.
• Participate in hands-on development and rigorous code reviews.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code meeting production standards for performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align product roadmap with customer needs.
