Job summary

Unity Compass is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of mission-driven GEOINT software solutions. You will deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native applications that support critical decision-making and mission effectiveness in classified environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive DevSecOps practices, and oversee containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring RMF/STIG compliance and collaboration with analysts, UI/UX

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6–10 years.
• US citizenship required per contract.
• Experience developing secure, scalable software in cloud environments.
• Proficient with web, OO programming, and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack development of enterprise GEOINT applications.
• Design secure, scalable microservices in AWS GovCloud or similar.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Implement DevSecOps pipelines, containers, and IaC tooling.
• Collaborate with analysts, UI/UX, DevOps, and product owners.
• Ensure security and accreditation standards (RMF, STIGs) are met.
