Job summary

Unity Compass is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of mission-driven GEOINT software solutions. You will deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native applications that support critical decision-making and mission effectiveness in classified environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive DevSecOps practices, and oversee containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring RMF/STIG compliance and collaboration with analysts, UI/UX

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6–10 years.
US citizenship required per contract.
Experience developing secure, scalable software in cloud environments.
Proficient with web, OO programming, and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead full-stack development of enterprise GEOINT applications.
Design secure, scalable microservices in AWS GovCloud or similar.
Mentor junior/mid engineers and conduct code reviews.
Implement DevSecOps pipelines, containers, and IaC tooling.
Collaborate with analysts, UI/UX, DevOps, and product owners.
Ensure security and accreditation standards (RMF, STIGs) are met.
