Job summary

Greenlight is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack to join our Web Registration team. You will contribute to core registration features, collaborate with product managers and designers, and help improve user growth through the registration flow.

Expect work on scalable services using Node.js, React/NextJS/Remix, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure, with emphasis on performance, observability, and reliability. This role reports to an Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years software development experience.
• Experience building REST APIs with modern frameworks.
• Experience creating SPAs using contemporary frontend frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build new experiences for the Greenlight Registration Flow in collaboration with product and design teams.
• Support and evolve the existing registration architecture with fast, iterative delivery.
• Add incremental features while balancing new work and tech debt.
• Scale and maintain backend services to handle growing user base.

Greenlight is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack for our Web Registration team. This team focuses on core functionalities for the registration flow, including experimentation, activation and validations. This includes maintaining the service stability, integrating with analytics tools, and implementing Figma designs. You will be expected to make contributions to our frontend and backend services as required to accomplish the team deliverables.

This role reports to an Engineering Manager.

Your day-to-day:

• Product Development: Building new experiences for the Greenlight Registration Flow. Work with domain teams, product managers and designers to improve the growth of users through the registration flow.
• Platform Ownership: As part of the registration team, you will support the existing architecture of Greenlight registration and build on it. This involves a fast moving and iterative process, focused on growth.
• Work with product and design teams to continuously add incremental features while balancing new features and tech debt.
• Scaling and maintaining our backend services to evolve with new feature requests and support our growing user base.
• Improving the reliability and availability of the platform which supports our families and partners.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years software development experience
• Ability to context switch effectively and prioritize work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong focus on performance, scalability, and observability when designing and building systems
• Experience building single page applications using a modern framework
• Experience building REST APIs
• Recent experience developing backend services with Node.js
• Ability to operate in a fast, iterative development environment, applying build/measure/learn principles to rapidly deliver features, evaluate impact, and continuously improve the product

Preferred experience:

• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
• Experience working with modern MarTech tools such as Segment, Optimizely, and Mixpanel
