Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to help create next-generation technologies at scale, spanning information retrieval, distributed computing, AI, and multi-modal systems. You will work on projects critical to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams as roles grow in Labs.

You will help scientists build AI products from zero to one, staying close to user feedback and delivering impactful features across the product stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience in launching software, hardware, or digital technology products to market.
• Experience diagnosing, debugging, and resolving technical issues in a software or hardware environment.
• Experience in developing and maintaining back-end, front-end, or full-stack software applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with research teams and cross-functional partners (Product Management, UX, TPM) across and outside of Labs.
• Contribute to and drive parts of the overall product and engineering roadmap.
• Develop functional product features with full-stack development or back-end only work as needed.
• Build deep understanding of language and multi-modal technologies for product context.
• Prototype AI solutions for new product features and support landing them in production.
